The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus is a 2,048Wh station with a true 3,000W AC output, expandable to 10kWh. Trusted Reviews called it “a clever bit of engineering” and PCMag called it a powerful, feature-rich station with excellent performance, flexibility and smart energy control. Its weak points are weight and a solar input capped at 1,000W. EcoFlow’s US page showed $1,669 against a $1,999 list on 2026-10-12. Check today’s price.
Who the DELTA 3 Max Plus is for (and who should skip it)
Trusted Reviews said it is ideal for those who need the ultimate flexibility, with a high capacity in a compact case. PCMag said it suits both home backup and portable use.
Skip it if:
- You need to carry it often. It weighs 49 lb (PCMag).
- You want lots of solar. Solar is capped at 1,000W and 60V (PCMag). The Bluetti Apex 300 takes up to 2,400W.
- You want a smaller unit. See the DELTA 3 Plus.
Output and efficiency
PCMag tested loads from 200W to 3,000W and found efficiency hovered around 87 percent at all levels, peaking at 88.33% at 200W. Trusted Reviews measured 88.39% charging efficiency at 2,400W input and 90.46% at 1,200W, and a best round-trip AC efficiency of 79.9%. PCMag says the inverter handled typical motor startup surges but very high inrush loads can still be a problem.
Ports and layout
PCMag describes four AC outlets split into two independently controlled groups, so the system can shed non-priority loads in an overload. It also lists one 140W USB-C port and a 30A 12V connector. Trusted Reviews tested the UK version, with socket pairs that face each other.
Charging and expansion
AC charging defaults to 2,300W, 80% in 47 minutes (Trusted Reviews). There is a switch between Fast and Adjust speeds. Expansion goes to 10kWh through a proprietary port. See the DELTA Pro 3 for EcoFlow’s larger system.
App and UPS
Trusted Reviews said a smart app can charge during cheap time-of-use periods and set how the AC ports behave if the battery fails. PCMag found the app easy to adjust and listed sub-10 ms UPS switchover.
Ownership notes
- Cells. EcoFlow lists automotive-grade LFP cells and up to a 5-year warranty (3 standard plus 2 with registration).
- Price. PCMag: $1,899 MSRP, shown at $1,099 on its listing. Trusted Reviews: £1,399. EcoFlow’s US page listed the unit at $1,149 on 2026-10-12, and $1,669 with a 400W solar panel. Check today’s price.
